Our mission at OPR is to continually look for ways to assist practices in meeting the challenges of providing patient care in the most cost effective manner.  As our society becomes more and more technically savvy, our practices are faced with numerous options.  Insurance carriers are also asking for information that can be captured by EMRs and this trend will only increase.

Our practices were faced with taking staff time to evaluate and compare possible technology solutions. We are well aware of the difficulties in researching, selecting and installing a system.  We have heard from practices that have implemented systems that have not performed as promised, were difficult to install, and have not been well received by the clinical staff who need to use them.

OPRtech formed a committee to review the top EMRs in the marketplace that were designed for Oncology practices specifically.  Each offered many bells and whistles but was expensive.  Hospitals were also endorsing an EMR that may not work for your practice.

• A single EMR system could not be endorsed since it may conflict with hospital mandated software

• Interface with existing software and/or independent from paper charts
• Will allow you to enjoy the benefits of electronic documentation, data collection and inventory management for your office, for reimbursement in our planned data initiatives, and for any pay-for-performance parameters in the future
• Able to add features and modify to our specifications and not be dependent upon third parties
