OPRmax is a program created to help member practices earn additional discounts based on market share.  Only practices that are interested in a particular initiative join and all members are not required to participate.  This is different from other GPOs that make all members participate even if they do not want to.

Since this is an opt-in program and purely voluntary, members are much more interested in maximizing their contract and being compliant.

In the first initiative under OPRmax, Aloxi, the MGI anti-emetic was selected. 

  • All OPR members were invited to participate – not just large practices – we had a 90% participation rate
  • Compliant members earned 17% price discounts
  • Opportunities for an additional discount/rebates were available 
  • Participants saved over $500,000 in upfront pricing and rebates.
  • They were able to maximize reimbursement even with the introduction of a generic anti-emetic
  • This was a purely voluntary program

As we demonstrate how successful the voluntary program can be, we have additional market share proposals being evaluated.
